The Sunset
Throughout the 1950's to the 1970's, causal community dances were an extremely popular past time for teens. Nowadays, the only dances we have available are school dances that you have to pay for. After hearing many peers say "I wish we had more dances," Lucia started getting ideas to start The Sunset.

Inspiried by the 'Dance in the Gym' scene of West Side Story, one of her favorite moives, she began asking friends if they'd be interested in a social club. When over 20 of them said yes, she took action.

In July of 2024, we had our very first event - 50's night. Soon our member numbers started doubling and we reached over 40 members. We've had many events so far; all of which are themed nights with corresponding food, music, and dress code.

Lucia created the website, cooks the food, runs the decor team, choses the themes, and makes the playlists. But thanks to her friends, she's not alone:
Lily Bostaph, Owen Bileck, Hasini Chava, Cadence Miller, Marissa Plack, Samuel and Gabriel Bostaph, Gianna Young, Cary Hewes, and so many more have helped out along the way!

Thank you all so much. See you at the next event!
